Activities Room

At Hazelbrook Care Home in Leicester, our activities room provides a welcoming space where residents can take part in enjoyable and purposeful activities. Sessions are shaped around individual interests, abilities and preferences, helping residents stay engaged with familiar routines while also exploring new experiences. Whether someone enjoys creative projects, music, gentle movement, sensory activities or quiet group sessions, our team supports each resident to take part in a way that feels comfortable and rewarding.

Keeping the Mind & Body Active

We understand that emotional wellbeing is just as important as physical health. Therapeutic and cognitive activities can support residents living with specialist and complex care needs by encouraging social connection, confidence, memory, communication and gentle physical movement.

Activities are always adapted to the individual, with respectful support available from our team so residents can participate at their own pace. This helps people maintain skills, build confidence, reduce isolation and enjoy a stronger sense of purpose in daily life.

Absolutely. We welcome the involvement of families and friends. Whether it’s joining a group session or simply spending time with a loved one during a quieter activity, visitors are always encouraged to be part of the experience in our activity room.

Activities are available to all our residents, who are encouraged to get involved. Each session is tailored to meet the diverse needs and abilities of our residents, ensuring inclusive participation.

If resident’s would rather not join in with a group activity, that’s absolutely fine. We also offer personalised one-to-one time for residents who prefer quieter engagement, and no one is ever pressured to take part. It’s all about what feels right for the individual.
